In this role, you will create sophisticated dashboards, craft compelling data stories, and work closely with Data Engineering and Data Ops teams to ensure seamless data pipelines. Comfort leveraging tools like Databricks and AWS is essential, as is a strong background in data visualization, design, and analysis. You will have the autonomy to self-service and the opportunity to collaborate on larger-scale data initiatives.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Manage analytics project lifecycles from requirements gathering through delivery, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations are aligned and met.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate cross-functional initiatives, balancing priorities across business, product, marketing, and data teams to deliver high-impact analytics projects.</p></li><li><p>Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting and analytics frameworks to support business strategies and drive informed decision-making.</p></li><li><p>Design, implement, and refine visually compelling reports and dashboards in tools like PowerBI, Tableau etc..</p></li><li><p>Transform raw data into clear narratives and actionable recommendations through impactful storytelling, catering to both technical and non-technical audiences.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate closely with Data Engineering and Data Ops teams to define data requirements, maintain data integrity, and optimize data pipelines.</p></li><li><p>Lead QA and validation efforts for dashboards and reports to ensure data accuracy and analytical rigor before release to business stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Utilize Databricks and AWS platforms to manage, analyze, and scale data solutions effectively.</p></li><li><p>Support A/B testing frameworks and causal inference analysis to evaluate marketing and product experiments and recommend optimizations.</p></li><li><p>Translate stakeholder questions into structured analytical approaches, helping guide the scoping of metrics, KPIs, and success criteria.</p></li><li><p>Work with product and engineering teams to define and operationalize key data definitions and event tracking standards.</p></li><li><p>Serve as a strategic thought partner in periodic business reviews, providing insights into user behavior, content engagement, and operational efficiency.</p></li><li><p>Champion data literacy initiatives by conducting training sessions, creating onboarding guides, and offering one-on-one coaching to business users.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Basic Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>Proven experience in analytics, BI, or a related role, ideally in a publishing or subscription-based environment.</p></li><li><p>Expert level proficiency with Tableau and open-source visualization tools (e.g., Plotly, D3.js), paired with strong design sensibilities.</p></li><li><p>Solid SQL skills for data querying and transformation; familiarity with Python or R is highly advantageous.</p></li><li><p>Experience with Databricks and AWS, including knowledge of data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data warehouse concepts.</p></li><li><p>Strong foundation in statistical methods, regression analysis, machine learning, and hypothesis testing.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset for working with developers, engineers, and diverse stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and naturally curious, with a passion for discovering new insights and driving continuous improvement.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education:</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field (advanced degree is a plus).</p></li></ul>The hiring range for this position in New York is $93,200.00 to $124,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
