Legal Billing Specialist - Remote (must have legal billing experience)

We are a rapidly growing leader in the outsourcing industry seeking an experienced Legal Billing Specialist to assist in the servicing of our growing client base. The candidate is expected to work from home, occasionally traveling to NJ once a year for an annual meeting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all client billing activities from initial entry, production of pre-bills and reviewing for accuracy to disbursing final invoices to clients
  • Process invoice edits, time and cost adjustments
  • Maintain documentation on client information, attorney preferences, and bill formats
  • Review set up to ensure compliance with rate agreements and outside counsel guidelines
  • Work with vendor and clients to setup electronic billing accounts as needed
  • Submit E-bills using various vendor sites and ensure successful transmission
  • Research and promptly respond to basic billing-related inquiries
  • Generate client account statements and follow up on unpaid balances

Qualifications:

  • Must have three years minimum of legal billing experience to be considered
  • Must have three years of experience with e-billing
  • Associates degree in Business or Accounting
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat; Bill4Time experience is a plus
  • Experience with Collaborati, TyMetrix, Serengeti (Legal Tracker), LegalX, LSS, Counselink and/or other electronic billing platform
  • Ability to handle high volume of work, including ability to multi-task and prioritize work efficiently
  • Understanding of general ledger accounting (journal entries, A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations) a plus
